Sam Weinberg is a saxophonist, composer, and improviser living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His active projects include W-2 (with Chris Welcome), BLOOR (with Andrew Smiley and Jason Nazary), Maestro Day (with Henry Fraser and Joe Moffett), and music for solo saxophone. Other improvised collaborations and projects are many and varied and include the likes of Ben Bennett, Jaimie Branch, Sandy Ewen, Weasel Walter, Brandon Seabrook, Mike Pride, Chris Pitsiokos, Ben Gerstein, Mark Morgan (Sightings), and many others.

He also works extensively with sound collage and musique concrete in which he deals with perception, texture, repetition, and disintegration. His latest collage record, A/V/E, was released in the summer of 2018 on Philip White’s Anticausal Systems imprint.
